Dear Dan:
You are fortunate that you were too far away to attend the
Davis presentation about social science and the future of NASA.
Should you wish to influence the future of NASA, I think there are
more effective ways of doing it.
As to the ARPAnet, if you get yourself a terminal, I will
re-activate your account.
Perhaps I will be able to
send you some stuff in a little while about the
frame problem and other matters, and I very much look forward to
seeing what you write - even a draft. I will certainly react to
it, and collaborating would be
interesting if my reactions are substantial and supplement your points.
I think the work you referred to must be %2Circumscription:
a form of non-monotonic reasoning%1 of which a reprint is enclosed.
I expect to have to go to France towards the end of January,
and if there is a mutually convenient time, I could visit you then.
I will be teaching epistemological problems of AI next quarter, so
I'll be all fired up on these problems.
